Nature Tales: In the Sky
Saturday, May 27, 2017 - 10:00am to 11:00am
Ages: 5 years and younger
$4 per child ($3 per member), adults are free

Join us select Saturday mornings for outdoor and nature-based activities that inspire you and your preschoolers and their grown-ups to explore and appreciate the out of doors at LSNC—Ann  Arbor’s very own backyard. Each session will be centered around a specific theme and include a variety of hands-on activities, like live animal encounters, guided hikes, group games, and enticing stories. Programs will take place outdoors rain or shine—please dress for the weather. This program’s theme is In the Sky.

Critters Up Close

Free with museum admission

Now you have more opportunities to see Critters Up Close every month at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum! We bring a selection of live animals to the Museum and AAHOM offers special animal-oriented hands-on activities. Animals will be meeting and greeting visitors from 10-4 on Saturday (with a mid-day “Animal Naptime”) and 1-4 on Sunday.  This month's featured critters are Turtles!

Fireside Fun- A Good Old-Fashioned Campfire Circle
Sunday, June 18, 2017 - 6:30pm to 8:00pm

There's nothing quite as relaxing as sitting around a campfire, roasting marshmallows and swapping stories. One Sunday a month, we'll be stoking the fires here at LSNC. Bring your family, friends, camp chairs, outdoor games, and s'mores fixings. We'll provide a blazing outdoor campfire and plenty of marshmallows. This event is rain or shine (except for thunder and lightening), so come dressed for the weather.

Great American Backyard Campout
Saturday, June 24, 2017 - 4:00pm to Sunday, June 25, 2017 - 10:00am
Ages: All ages
$50 per family

Pitch your tent with our resident raptors and critters! Be part of a nation-wide event; enjoy nature-based programs, campfires, and much more! At camper's leisure they are able to eat their picnic dinner (not provided) either at LSNC's picnic tables or at their campsite. Breakfast will be provided.  Minimum of one adult per family is required.

Join one of our Educators as we hike through Black Pond Woods each week to see what’s happening! This week we will be searching out insects. These six-legged creatures are important for the health and vitality of our prairie and woods here at LSNC and we’ll see how many different kinds we can find!
